School District 74 and school staff want you to know that "as we move into this new phase of the response to COVID-19, the health and safety of students and staff is our priority.” Next week, details about Gold Trail’s re-entry plan will be shared with parents and care-givers. This plan will include; what schools and classrooms will look like, how we will keep your children safe if you decide to send them to school, how to prepare your children to return to school, how your children will be supported if you decide to keep them home, and how school buses will operate safely. The Schools also want to share that while they are excited to see children in school again, teaching and learning at school will not look or feel the same. The health and safety procedures that will be implemented will change many of the ‘normal’ or familiar structures and routines of school.

During the recent Ashcroft Council meeting, the 5 year financial plan was adopted. A 5-year agreement was reached with the Legion about the continued operation of the skateboard park (which is located on Legion owned property). In lieu of a yearly rental fee, the village will provide snow removal for the Legion parking lot. The Cache Creek Council meeting was very short, with most committees reporting “no meeting or report”. Mayor Telerico has been appointed to the Ashcroft Terminal Community Working Group.
