Meet the Mayoral Candidates for Saint Andrews

When voters in Town of Saint Andrews head to the polling station on May 10, 2021 for the New Brunswick municipal elections, they will have two candidates to choose from for Mayor: Brad Henderson and (incumbent) Doug Naish. COVID-19 has complicated how candidates are able to reach voters this year, so Charlotte County Television organized "Meet the Mayoral Candidates for Town of Saint Andrews" as part of the TV station's extensive Vote'21 coverage of the candidates across Charlotte County.

Both Brad Henderson and Doug Naish sat down with CHCO-TV for socially-distant interviews at the Charlotte County Television studio. In keeping with election guidelines, each candidate was given the same questions with the same amount of available interview time. How the candidate chose to use their interview time was up to them. Both candidates were sent the questions in advance of the interview.

Election day for the municipal council, district education council and regional health authority board elections is Monday, May 10, with the exception of voters living in the Edmundston-Madawaska region who will vote later this month. Polling stations will be open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday. Voters currently in isolation are encouraged to contact their local Returning Office to arrange the best way for them to vote, based upon their situation. Voters in modified isolation have the option of curbside voting on election day. Due to the lockdown that took place in the Edmundston region in late April, delayed voting dates in that region will ultimately delay the unveiling of results across New Brunswick by at least two weeks.
